Do any of you know what the job setting of a physical therapist is? Is job setting the same as field?

Well, since I’ve been to a physical therapist on countless occassions, I can say that I have seen them in their “job setting”.
One type was in a special wing in a hospital (that was for physical therapy after a car accident) and the other type was in their own office adjacent to the doctor’s office (for frozen shoulder, vertigo, knee problems). It’s very professional. The fun part is they always seem to have the best TOYS! I’ve heard physical therapists say they love to come to work because they can use the equipment themselves after work or before. (Weight lifting equipment, stationary bicycles, treadmills, balls, ropes, all kinds of things.)
Hope that answers your question partly. (Man, I wish this was around when I was growing up trying to figure out what I wanted to be!)

No, it’s where you actually work. For a PT that’s hospitals, clinics or rehab centers. The set up is basically the same - exam rooms and a larger room for gym equipment to help people with exercises. PT’s can also visit patients who are newly injured and can’t get out of bed to go to therapy.

A job “field” refers to the practice as a whole organization of professionals. The setting refers to the actual place or “setting” of employment. For PTs this can be a hospital, clinic, school, home health, nursing home, private practice, etc.

i think a job setting may be like a class that you take before you go into that field in college?
